Abate and Dooley To Suit Up In USILA/Nike Division III North/South Game

Perry, N.Y. - May 25, 2017 - Springfield College seniors Dom Abate (Beverly, Mass.) and Brendan Dooley (Setauket, N.Y.) have been selected to play in the 2017 USILA/Nike Division III North/South Game after standout final seasons for the Pride.

The 76th USILA/Nike North-South Games to be played on Friday, May 26th, on Chapey Field at Anderson Stadium on the campus of Providence College in Providence, R.I. The Division I/II game will be at 5:30 p.m., while the Division III match is at 3:00 p.m.

Dooley is one of two short stick defensive midfielders for the north team and wear No. 13, while Abate will suit up in No. 25. The duo are among the 35 senior student-athletes from the north region to participate in the illustrious senior showcase. 

Two of only three New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) representatives in the North-South Game, Dooley and Abate were key reasons why Springfield appeared in the NCAA Division III Championship tournament for the 10th-consecutive season.
