Amherst, Mass. - May 15, 2018 - Springfield College's Jake Reynolds (Scituate, Mass.) was selected to the New England Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (NEILA) All-New England Second Team following a standout final season for the Pride.
The two-time New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference Defensive Athlete of the Year, Reynolds helped power Springfield to its 11th-straight NCAA Division III Championship Tournament appearance after the Pride captured the NEWMAC title with an 11-7 victory over Coast Guard. Reynolds, who was chosen as the Most Outstanding Player of the NEWMAC Championship for the second time in the last three seasons, totaled 211 saves, which led to a save percentage of .558 this season. The Health Care Management major also owned a 9.52 goals against average and had 15 games with double-digit saves, including four games with at least 15 saves.
Reynolds concluded his three-year career at Springfield making 591 saves, which ranks fifth-best in program history, as he produced a record of 34-14 and a goals against average of 9.17 en route to the all-region recognition.
