Springfield College Student-Athletes Continue To Succeed Academically With 3.47 GPA
Springfield, Mass. - June 8, 2021 - Springfield College's student-athletes continued to flourish in the classroom as they put together one of the best collective academic showings in athletic department history.
Coming off a fall semester where Springfield's student-athletes produced a 3.490 grade point average, the Pride's 652 student-athletes delivered a grade point average of 3.471 during the spring semester.
In fact, a tremendous 87.7 percent — 572 of 652— produced a 3.0 GPA or better. An impressive 84 earned perfect 4.0 GPA's, another 315 delivered a fall GPA between 3.5 and 3.99, while 172 more had between 3.0 and 3.49.
This semester, a total of 21 programs at Springfield College had a team grade point average of at least a 3.20. The women's tennis, women's cross country, and women's gymnastics teams all had GPA's above a 3.8, with the women's tennis team producing a department best of 3.886. On the men's side, the tennis team delivered a 3.758 to lead the way.
