    Irving, Texas - April 23, 2020 - The Springfield College football team had 14 student-athletes who were selected as members of the National Football Foundation Hampshire Honor Society, which is comprised of college football players from all divisions of play who each maintained a cumulative 3.2 GPA or better throughout their college careers.

    Springfield, Mass. - October 24, 2019 - Springfield College junior AJ Smith (Rahway, N.J.) was selected to attend the 2020 NCAA Division III Student Immersion Program this January in conjunction with the NCAA Convention in Anaheim, Calif.  Smith was one of only 40 Division III student-athletes accepted into the program.

    Springfield, Mass. - October 21, 2019 - After helping the Springfield College defeat Merchant Marine on Saturday, three members of the football program were recognized by the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC).  Tim Callahan (Enfield, Conn.) was named the NEWMAC Offensive Athlete of the Week, Christian Hutra (Holmes, N.Y.) was tabbed the NEWMAC Special Teams Athlete of the Week, and AJ Smith (Rahway, N.J.) was chosen as the NEWMAC Defensive Athlete of the Week.

In defeat, the Mariners drop to 4-2 (3-1 NEWMAC) on the season, while the Pride won for the third-straight game to improve to 4-3 (3-1 NEWMAC) with the victory.
