Men's Cross Country Competes at NCAA Division III Regional Championships

Brunswick, Maine - November 11, 2017 - The Springfield College men's cross country team finished 24th overall for the second-consecutive season at the 2018 NCAA Division III Regional Championships, hosted at Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine on Saturday.

Springfield College racked up 730 points on the afternoon. Amherst won Saturday's meet with 65 points, while Williams (86), Middlebury (142), MIT (145) and Tufts (160) rounded out the top five.

Graduate student Jack Pinho (Prosepct, Conn.) finished the 8k course in 25:58 to take 60th overall, while Springfield College's second finisher of the day was Ryan Vermette (Nashua, N.H.) with a time of 27:43.92. Sophomore Cormac Tolan (Greenbush, N.Y.) was next with a time of 27:57.69, while rounding out the Pride's top five was Chris Tringali (Millville, Mass.), who finished the course in 28:31.89, and JT McMillen (Dunellen, N.J.) who notched a time of 28:38.16.
